Our corner rooms on the upper floors are the ones regulars ask for by number. The reason is simple: two walls of glass, one long window seat, and nothing between you and the water except morning mist.
By day the rooms are bright and uncluttered, with dark timber framing the view like a photograph. By night, layered blackout drapes close at the touch of a button and the room goes properly dark — the kind of dark that city guests forget exists.
"A window seat, a slow morning, and nowhere else to be."
The window seat deserves its reputation. It is six feet long, piled with cushions, and positioned exactly where the sunrise lands. Order breakfast in bed, or just bring a book. Nobody will hurry you.
