Every living suite at Cedarmere starts with the same question: what does rest actually look like? For our design team the answer was never marble or chrome. It was oiled oak underfoot, linen that wrinkles beautifully, and a sofa deep enough to disappear into with the lake beyond the glass.
The timber is brushed, never varnished, so it keeps a soft matte texture that ages gracefully. Linen covers are washed three times before they ever reach a room, which gives them that lived-in softness from the very first night. Against all that warmth, the palette stays quiet — oat, stone, sage — so the view does the talking.
"Comfort is a hundred small decisions, not one grand gesture."
Light was the final material. Sheers diffuse the morning sun into something gentle, while low brass lamps take over at dusk. Guests tell us the suites feel calm within minutes of walking in. That is not an accident; it is about forty small decisions working together.
